WordPress API Key (now with a free ‘blog!)

I only have this blog because I needed a wordpress API Key.
I’m sure that over time it’s going to become very useful to me; but currently I’m hosted elsewhere with lots of bespoke plugins, so shifting my whole site over here isn’t something that can be done easily, or at all.
In the mean time I’ll have a think about what to use this for, my current hosting won’t last forever.

Does this mean you know what the api key is for?

Yes and I’m not giving anthing away when I say that there’s a clue in the name: “API Key”. It’s a key that gives you access to the WordPress API.
I also know of one particular service that will be provided through the API but since it’s not my place to disclose it, you’ll have to ask someone, Matt perhaps.
I’m sure there will be many uses, so any guesses you see here are just guesses of the as yet undisclosed functions of a web based API, so those capabilities are going to grow.

I realise it’s a key for an api - I’m not that stupid
I’ve read the posts on Matt’s blog and know that everything on there, that isn’t written by Matt, is speculation. I just saw your post and thought you might be forthcoming with some insde info … and now I’ve seen your post on matt’s blog…
